Location was perfect, within walking distance of Covent Garden, Carnaby, Oxford street etc., plenty of restaurants, supermarkets around the hotel and easy to find. The rooms was very clean and clearly newly renovated, beds were very comfortable, shower was nice too, enough space in the room. Breakfast was nice and varied although very noisy but that's to be expected with this kind of very big hotel. Coffee is only coffee by name, not taste. The rest was good (English breakfast was fine too). Downsides : - very very very loud at night. Not soundproof at all. The room was situated on the side with the London Pub and the entrance. Even with the window closed, you could hear everything. It is the case in most hotel/hostels in London, soundproof is non-existent in the city. I would suggest bringing earplugs if you hope to get some sleep. - the sink was nice but (a detail, that can become a bit annoying) is that the faucet is a bit too long and ends in the middle on the sink, if you want to wash your face, you have to try and fit it on the side otherwise you'll end up with a bump on your forehead 😅 and also you tend to have water splash all around the bathroom because of it.

Positives: 1) great location; 2) the room view; 3) the friendly staff in the corridors ; 4) next to the city sleeper...(quiet on one side); 5) the vibe and atmosphere; 6) a bath and shower; 7) the courtyard & lights; 8) checking-in was swift - obviously English; 9) the lifts were close-by...10) a hotel for all - young or old, stag/hen parties...footie...etc...11) well-run massive hotel...12) could have been worse Negatives: 1) minor niggle - toilet roll pulls over, not under; 2) lack of sockets - one double socket....no usb; 3) while check-in was a doddle, leaving luggage in the basement was a no-go after checking out after seeing the queue; 4) no fridge; 5) going green by saving water (towel on the rail etc), yet heating was on...6) the TV was too small & old school relay ...7) the taps in the sink moved...8) the bath was built for a rocket man! 9) the palava of the TV...10)

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Ten minute walk from Euston station, and a 2 min walk to the Russell Square tube station. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Huge choice of foods, both cooked and continental breakfast. Breakfast room was always busy, but everything was kept topped up, even when going in towards the end. The reception area is spotless and very welcoming. There are 2 lovely resturants/bar areas within the hotel too. The hotel is very busy, but staff work hard to keep things ticking over.

I am normally disappointed when I stay in London and when I read some reviews of the RNH I was expecting more of the same but it exceeded my expectations. It isn't a luxury hotel. There isn't a sauna in the basement or a rooftop swimming pool but my room (standard double) was spacious and clean, the bathroom was actually big enough that you had to step from the shower to the wash basin rather than having to shuffle around in a confined space.

Location was SO convenient, especially for the price. The room was small but the bed was large and comfortable. Soap smelled great, kettle didn’t work when I got there but was fixed or replaced quickly once I asked about it, and the staff were all very sweet and helpful. It was easy to store my luggage for the afternoon after checkout, and it was all in all a great experience!
